My journey into the world of finance began back in 1995 when I joined a medium-sized company as their bookkeeper. They needed someone to handle their financial records, and that’s when I discovered my passion for the work. I loved the challenge of keeping their financial records accurate and up to date. In 1997, I decided to take a Bookkeeping Certification course from Universal Accounting to sharpen my skills and knowledge. This course helped me understand the ins and outs of accounting principles, preparing financial statements, and navigating tax laws and regulations. I also did some course work at the local community college to work on my degree in Business. Around the same time, I started offering my bookkeeping services to clients on the side.

In 2010 I took some more coursework from Universal Accounting, which included their Tax Preparation Certification.

Since 2011, I’ve been proud to be a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor. These certifications have allowed me to become a QuickBooks expert, ensuring I can provide the best guidance to clients who use this software for their financial records.

In 2012, I took the leap and made my bookkeeping business a full-time endeavor by officially starting my own company. This allowed me to be more flexible in taking care of my family’s needs. Ever since, I’ve been working with small and medium-sized businesses, just like yours, to help them manage their financial records and stay compliant with relevant tax laws and regulations. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with clients like you. I understand how crucial accurate financial records are for your business’s success, and that’s why we are dedicated to providing you with top-notch bookkeeping services.

Throughout my journey, I’ve learned countless strategies to structure your business to take full advantage of the deductions allowed by the IRS Code. I’ve worked with a wide variety of businesses and picked up many of these strategies through hands-on experience. To better serve you, I’ve also brought together a team of advisors from different fields, all working to provide solutions that best fit your needs.

In 2020, I became a certified Value Builder, which equips me with the tools to help you build your business or prepare for an exit, depending on your goals. We’re here to help you transition from working in your business to working on your business which creates value in your business.

This year I completed the certification with Mark Kohler to become a Certified Tax Consultant. I was surprised at how many of the concepts he teaches I was already implementing with my clients. I really enjoy using the Trifecta to draw a picture to show how clients should be structured to maximize their personal and business tax savings and retirement benefits and protect their family and their assets.
