Charlotte G. Petersen, MBA, CPA founded Expert Tax CPA in December 2021 with 17 years of experience in tax and accounting, realizing the industry needed another CPA firm to give small-business owners and individuals better service and expertise, while creating an excellent work environment for staff. After an amazing childhood growing up in Wyoming, she graduated from BYU-Idaho in 2004 with a Bachelor’s in accounting and a minor in information systems. She worked a few years in the accounting industry and then received an MBA from the University of Phoenix, took additional advanced accounting classes from the University of Utah and passed the CPA tests in 2011 on her first attempt.
Charlotte’s niche is in the real estate industry but also has experience in and has worked with clients in the fields of construction, investment partnerships, medicine, and e-commerce, including multi-state nexus issues in each field. When Charlotte isn’t nit-picking every detail to help clients save the most taxes, she is busy managing her family’s real estate rental business and spending time with her husband and two kids. She also loves to get outdoors, exercise, travel and cook.
